Udonis Haslem is among the top players of the second round playoffs qualifier, Miami Heat.  After undergoing a foot surgery almost six months ago, he was unable to assume his role as the emotional leader of his team.

Dwayne Wade and Udonis Haslem, when you check the papers, are co-captains of the Miami Heat.  LeBron James appears to be the role of manager, keeping players accountable and recognizing everyone’s efforts after good plays.  It is given that when Udonis returns, he will re-claim himself as the emotional leader of the said team.

Reports emphasize that Udonis Haslem loves the Miami Heat like no other player does in the franchise’s history.  UD was born in Miami and grew up in Carol City area; but ended up in Europe.  After his college, he had blown up to 300 pounds and more.  It was somewhere in 2003 when Pat Riley gave UD a try-out, after the latter had lost 70 pounds,  and UD matched it with hard work.  So when he lifts his Miami jersey proudly, he is not just doing it because it is incidentally draped over him.  He is doing it because that is who he is and because the organization gave him a chance to be a productive professional basketball player – to make a name for himself.

Now that Udonis Haslem has recuperated from his surgery, there exists two contrasting viewpoint on whether or not he should return in these playoffs.  There will surely be a change in rotation and those who are threatened suggests not to bring him back.  Opponents do not want it to happen and say that the Heat is already playing their best basketball.  They are asking whether UD’s potential contribution is worth the risk.

On the other hand, supporters argue that there will surely be a different jolt to the franchise in bringing back the hometown favorite.  He will surely energize the crowd and his teammates.  He will surely be booster to Miami’s superstars James, Wade and Bosh.  Surely their next game will make Heat Tickets worth buying!

Opponents are threatened of UD’s coming back for they are not just competing against his team – but his home and family.  The truth is, they want him on their side.

Every game of the Miami Heat is to watch for during these playoffs.  It will not be surprising if they make it to the finals.  Support your home team; make sure you have your Heats Ticket before it runs out.
